Truckee Thursdays Transform Downtown into Unique Street Festival
The streets of Truckee come alive every Thursday evening throughout the summer. Kicking off June 26, and running through August 28, from 4-8pm, Downtown Truckee is the epicenter of music, art, children’s entertainment, outdoor activities, shopping, and restaurant sampling.

The Nevada County Concert Band will present "Dance to the Music" - the third of three concerts in its Pioneer Park Picnic Pops Concert Series. Music references will include Motown hits, music from Mamma Mia!, The Charleston, big band signatures, and much more. Pioneer Park bandshell, Nevada City, CA. 5:00pm. Free. 2008 Logging Jamboree. Sierra Nevada Logging Museum, Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31. There will be axe throwing contests, log sawing contests, games for the children, and a lot of family fun for everyone. We'll have food, drinks, museum tours, there is a great fishing lake right next to the event. Saturday's $5.00 admission includes the Saturday night concert by Joni Morris, a mostly Country/Western singing star who is widely known for her Patsy Cline sound. Tickets for her concerts alone, sell for about 4 times as much as our admission. Our Museum is located in Arnold, CA just off of Highway 4 in Calaveras County. www.sierraloggingmuseum.org
